Our Confidentiality & Data Privacy Commitment

We take the confidentiality and privacy of your data seriously. Your resume, profile, and intake information are used solely to match you to opportunities and to apply for jobs on your behalf. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with third parties for marketing, and we do not rent or trade it. The only time your information leaves our systems is when you direct us to submit it to a specific employer, recruiter, or job platform as part of an application. That's it. We just apply for jobs on your behalf.

1. Who We Are

JobGooRoo is operated by Red Rock Label ("Red Rock Label," "JobGooRoo," "we," "us," or "our"). We provide AI-assisted job search tools, resume analysis, and application automation services through jobgooroo.com and related properties (the "Service"). Paid subscriptions are billed by Red Rock Label, which is the name that appears on your credit-card statement. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account & contact data: name, email address, phone number, location, plan tier.
  • Intake & profile data: resume contents, LinkedIn URL, portfolio links, work history, education, certifications, target roles, salary expectations, work authorization, and any answers you submit through our intake forms.
  • Uploaded files: resumes and supporting documents you upload for AI analysis.
  • Usage data: log data, device information, IP address, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interaction events.
  • Cookies & similar tech: used for authentication, preferences, and analytics.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including AI features that parse resumes and draft application materials.
  • Match you to opportunities and personalize recommendations.
  • Communicate with you about your account, follow-up questions, support, and product updates.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

4. AI Processing

We use third-party AI providers (such as Google and OpenAI via secure API gateways) to analyze your resume and generate application content. We do not sell your data and we do not allow these providers to train their public models on your personal data where the provider offers that option. Outputs from AI systems may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing materials before they are sent on your behalf.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only with: (a) service providers who host, store, or process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations; (b) employers, recruiters, or job platforms when you direct us to submit an application; (c) authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and property; and (d) acquirers in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell your personal information.

5a. JobGooRoo Autofill Chrome Extension

This section covers the "JobGooRoo Autofill" browser extension specifically.

  • Your profile stays on your device. The free extension stores the profile you enter (name, contact details, work history, saved answers) locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. That data does not leave your device.
  • No browsing tracking. The extension does not transmit your browsing activity, page content, page URLs, or your profile to our servers or to any third party.
  • Limited form filling. The extension fills fields only on the job-application pages it supports, and only with data you entered yourself. It does not read or send anything else from the pages you visit.
  • Paid drafting features. If you sign in to a paid JobGooRoo account inside the extension and ask it to draft something, that request (the job posting text plus the relevant parts of your profile) is sent to JobGooRoo's servers to generate the suggestion. We do not sell that data and we use it only to provide the service you asked for.
  • Deleting your data. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored extension data from your browser. To delete account data held on our servers, email privacy@jobgooroo.com and we will remove it.

6. Data Retention & Security

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6a. Cookies & Analytics on the Website

On jobgooroo.com we keep this light and honest. We store first-touch attribution (the page you landed on, the referring site, and any utm/gclid/fbclid parameters in the link you clicked) in your browser's session storage so we know which campaigns work; it clears when you close the tab. We use Hotjar for anonymized product analytics and session behaviour on some pages, and we store small local values such as your builder session token so your resume interview survives a refresh. We do not run advertising trackers that sell or share your personal information, and none of this applies to the Chrome extension, which sends no analytics at all.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of certain disclosures. To exercise these rights, email privacy@jobgooroo.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. International Users

We process and store data in the United States. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your country.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. JobGooRoo does not guarantee employment, interviews, or any specific outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobGooRoo and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
